NJ as a National Leader

New Jersey’s state Department of Children and Families has been working on system reform since 2003, and in more recent years, on wholesale transformation. Its vision for NJ is that every resident is safe, healthy and connected.

But government can only do so much. It has reached the upper limit of what it can achieve in reducing out of home placements through prevention and strength-based supports and services. NJ DCF wants to be a part of and partner in building something different that will improve outcomes for all NJ children and families.
